Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says I don't mind being different from the masses. It says I don't mind expressing myself but not by spedning loads of money. It's exclusive; I believe there are less than 250 of these in the UK/world!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it! Think it looks great, it's very smart and classy, not to mention comfortable and fast.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Possibly although I like to try lots of different types of car. Don't really see the point in keeping the same type of car when the next could be even better!
What are you likely to buy next?
Not sure. Always fancied a Lotus or Porsche but don't like the 'Flash Harry' image you get with cars like that. I'll see what's on offer when I'm ready, which isn't yet!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£3,800
When did you buy the car?
January 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think so. Compared to most others on the market at the time, mine was priced £750-2000 cheaper.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted to be different and not join the unimaginitive masses driving Golfs!
What was the dealer like?
Fine. Friendly. Very helpful due to serious cock-up by my bank!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fine. Fast but not blindingly so, it's a turbo but is only a 1.5 litre. Performance still puts a lot of much more expensive cars to shame partly because of the turbo boost and partly because they don't know what it is! I could've spent £25k to get a fast, eyecatching car but why bother when I can do it for less than £4k?!
What's it like to park?
Pretty easy. Steering a little heavy but probably due to big, wide wheels.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
In four months, just needed exhaust mounting and driver door locking mechanism fixing. Not expensive and to be expected in a 6-7 year old car.
What's most practical about your car?
Quite small so much easier to park; twice as economical as my last car - Mercedes E320.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Heated seats! Great in colder weather, heats up much quicker than fan! Big shiny wheels (which I also had refurbished) look great with gloss black bodywork and tinted windows. Always gets attention without being 'in yer face' which a lot of drivers have to resort to with their cars these days.
