Summary
What does this car say about you?
That I like something difference - you don't see many on the road.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They used to like it. Now it's gone 54,000 miles its a rough ride in the back. When we put a child seat and pushchair in, the have to push the rear bench all the way back which barely leaves room for a pushchair in the boot
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. I want something bigger, hopefully with 5 seats, a bigger boot, isofix points and even more gadgets. (The car is also out of production)
What are you likely to buy next?
I'm considering a Nissan Qashqai or a Volvo C30 (less practical). Common sense tells me to buy a Focus!!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£13,000
When did you buy the car?
January 2005
Did you get a good deal and why?
Better than I expected, but not wonderful. 5% off list price was better than nothing
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I hated my Peugeot 206 - the driving position was awful
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful - threw in (cheap) extras but then we did buy a Roadster too on the same visit.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Pretty good - I've since driven a Mini Cooper S Convertible (our other car) and I don't rate it any higher. It is a very firm ride and you feel the bumps in it - especially passengers in the back
What's it like to park?
Parking isn't bad - but could be better. At least the car is small so you can squeeze in to lots of small spaces
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I've had new wheel bearings and a new burglar alarm but that's about it. (All the brake discs have been replaced but I am a high mileage driver)
What's most practical about your car?
I like the folding back seat - the bench folds down and flips up against the front seats to give a decent load area. The pillars sometimes get in the way. Fuel economy is reasonable but the 5th gear is more suited for urban driving than motorways
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Pop-up head light washers (option) Automatic headlights (option)
