Smart Review
Before we go on I warn you I am a SMART convert. I have owed a 451 Smart ( the previous one ) . That was a car for the true Smart enthusiast due to its personal quirks such as the much maligned gearbox, narrow wheel base and susceptibility to choppy ride in crosswinds. Why do I mention this? Because in this later updated model all of this as gone. This one really will tempt the mainstream small car buyer, well the for four will. Now if you are reading this looking for a used model you have avoided the huge depreciation of buying new . Look for a well looked after 2yr old you will get a great car for your money. You can read all the specs in the dealer details. Once you have seen the equipment levels you will appreciate what this little car has to offer particularly if the previous owner went to town on the extras . Personally I would look for a Premium Plus option. It's not great for long distance rear view passengers more an occasional lift into town. However that rear space is great if you generally have just the two in the front and you end up buying a little more than you anticipate whilst shopping. The rear doors open wide great for loading bulky items or popping the youngsters in their child seats ! Be warned, the MPG I achieved was no where near the published figures, I generally achieved low to middle forties with a daily mixed route to and from work with fifties on the rare long run I took. The auto wasn't available when I purchased, however I would recommend it along with the more powerful engine. To summarise. Something a little different than your average super mini, not for everyone but take one for a drive you may be surprised.
