Smart Fortwo Cabriolet (2016 - 2019) 0.9 Turbo Proxy Premium 2d Owner Review

In their own words
I had a problem with the boot catch after 8 months which Mercedes took 6 1/2 weeks to fix, which went wrong again after a month, but an independent smart dealer then fixed in a day and 1/2. Once on the move I just love driving this car and its amazing turning circle makes me smile every time. It's my 3rd Smart and by far the best. The changes to the suspension and auto gear box along with the width increase now make it a pleasure to drive. In the previous model I couldn't go over local speed cushions above 15mph without the rear taking off. Now I barely feel them. The cabrio roof is easy to operate even at top speed, ideal in UK weather with the sun an infrequent visitor. I went for the smart media system and the option for rear view camera. I am pleased with them both. However, It took a chance discovery to realise that I had to log into tom tom services from the car to benefit from the map upgrade, by which time I was too late. The sales staff kept saying just take the sd card and plug it into the pc. So register from the pc then go to the car system with your login details. I missed the free map upgrade but have 3 years live traffic. Yes it's only a two seater, but the dog manages to sit in the boot space and there is room for 5 large shopping bags in the boot or more if you take down the divider. With the front passenger seat down I can even get a 6ft xmas tree in. The one persistent niggle: it defaults back to the USB music flash drive every time I turn on the ignition.
