What does this car say about you?

It says i am cheeky, independant and dont much care what others may think! I think it screams cheeky girlie who likes to have fun but travel in confort and mercedes style!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

My sister, mother and father have all driven the car and all really enjoy driving it. They think its a nice looking little car as do my friends, who also say its comfy and fun! I have not asked my neighbours what they think as i dont really have any!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes, for sure. This is the second one i have had and both have been the best cars i have ever had - Considering i have had a new Tigra drop top, New corsa SRI, Rav4 NRG, MGTF amongst others it says something! Its a brilliant all rounder and i love it!

What are you likely to buy next?

Quite possibly a Smart Roadster as i am very impressed with Smart as a whole. I would consider having the new shape fortwo passion cabrio, but also quite fancy a new corsa VXR???? Really undecided.

Did you get a good deal and why?

Yes, i paid cash and got £1500 off the showroom asking price! Mine is a 2007 reg 07 plate and is the last in the 450 shape before the 451 was released.

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

I had owned a 2004 reg convertible passion fortwo and it was brilliant! I missed it so much when i sold it that i just had to get another smart!!!

What was the dealer like?

really friendly and helpful. No issues at all.

What's it like to drive?

Really good fun. Its nippy little engine propells you around quickly and effectively, the steering is nice and soft and the seats are really really comfy! The auto gearchange is sometimes a little extreme and it sometimes gets confused as to what gear it needs to be in at roundabouts, but this all adds to the fun of driving one! I find it to be quite smooth on the motorway and have completed 1000+ mile round trips in it with no problems at all. It comes into its own around town and can squeeze through tight little gaps with no problems. A brilliant little shopping car but also great to take on holiday! If my sister and I go away in the UK, we always take my car as we both love driving it so much!!!

What's it like to park?

Really easy. Mine does not have PAS, so the steering is sometimes a little heavy when you are static, but if you are moving at all its very easy to turn the wheel. You really dont need PAS in these cars - It would be to light when driving as its very light without it!!! You really can fit these cars into the smallest spaces and its great because i can always park, no matter how crowded!

Have you had any problems with the car?

No. The airbox got blocked with tree debris and started leaking water into the drivers footwell, but my local Smart garage cleaned it out for me and it has been perfect ever since. It was not a 'fault' of the car, it had simply clogged up with sap and small bits of leaves.

What's most practical about your car?

Probably the seriously low running costs. I can fit everything i have ever needed to into it, including an expanded 32 inch suitcase and hand luggage!!! Plus its compact so can be parked almost anywhere, no matter how small the space and its easy/quick to wash and clean!

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Would have to be the 2 stage heated seats - A life saver in winter!!! The sound package upgrade is also good and the aircon is nice and cold/powerful if serviced properly. I have mine re charged and cleaned every year and it runs great all year round, hot or cold.
