What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 53 - 60 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

Economical engine and cheap road tax, and insurance groups were lowered across the board in summer 2005. Re-sale values are strong at the moment, but as more come on the market, that will change. Servicing tends to be expensive.
Fortwo is very eco-friendly and easy on the environment. With an average of 117 g/km CO2 across the line-up, its emissions are impressively low for a mini coupe. It’s worth noting that the line-up does not feature any diesel models, which typically produce less carbon dioxide than petrol engines with similar power outputs. The range is extremely frugal, averaging 58 mpg.
Pretty good on the whole but there have been some problems with glass roofs and rattles.
