Summary
What does this car say about you?
That you're frugal and eco conscious but like to stand out and have a little fun in style.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They make the obvious jokes until they get in...then following a short silence there's a gasp of 'WOW! It's so spacious! Can I drive it?'.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Absolutely not. Sadly I believe a blind monkey could have built a car better and the advertised fuel economy is simply not true. I bought this car to save money but it does the same MPG as my 1.9 BMW.
What are you likely to buy next?
Possibly another BMW or a Toyota MR2; I want something reliable and quality.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£8,800
When did you buy the car?
March 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Had £450 off and free glovebox/cupholder, but they gave me a rather bad price on my trade in so that kind of cancelled out any savings!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Promised fuel economy, cheap running costs, funky looks, supposed quality dealerships.
What was the dealer like?
Fine...until things started going wrong then they were unsympathetic and insulting. Their workmanship was poor and on one occasion they even damaged my car and tried to get away with it!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Fun! Brilliant unassisted steering provides plenty of feedback. The 84bhp tubo engine absolutely flies and is a joy to boot around. It is a little wobbly in the wind however and the engine noise can be a little tiring on long journeys, but nowhere near as much as the 71bhp MHD!
What's it like to park?
A doddle, of course.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Loose/rattling interior panels and trim, faulty cd player, faulty gear box, faulty fuel gauge, faulty interior door handle, appalling low MPG...
What's most practical about your car?
Suprisingly the boot is really quite spacious, much larger than the Mini's, and the cabin is incredibly roomy for two adults too.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
A/C is good. The glass roof is novel but I always have the blind pulled over or it gets too glary/hot in the cabin. I wish I'd had the dash pods and upgraded speakers; the pods looks cool and the standard speakers are rather poor.
