Smart Fortwo Coupe (2015 - 2019) 1.0 Passion 2d Owner Review

I bought my fortwo from the main dealer pre reg in November 2018, instead of nearly £12k it was just over £8k and was brand new with 7 miles on the clock. The reason for telling you this is that Smart know the market won’t pay anywhere near list for these cars and as such there are loads of pre reg bargains on line. I have owned all 3 generations of smart car from new and this is by far the best. First of all design: chunky, cute and a bit sporty on the outside and on the inside it feels way better than something like a Citroen C1 but a long way short of mini perceived quality, but with a far more original and interesting design than any other small car I can think of with extremely comfortable and supportive seats. Drive: Light years ahead of the last 2 generations with very little road and engine noise (on standard 15” alloys and Dunlop Blue Efficiency sport tyres) also there is minimal wind noise and this is the first new car I’ve owned with zero rattles. The Handling is good for such a short car and the gearbox and acceleration are perfectly acceptable, but given the choice again I would go for the turbo automatic and not the normally aspirated manual. All in all I’m extremely pleased with the car.
