Smart Roadster (2003 - 2007) (80bhp) 2d Auto (RHD) Owner Review

I needed a cheap to run car for my daily commute. Having owned one of these 10 years ago I knew how fun and cheap to run they were so bought one from Ebay. The one thing I forgot when I bid on the car was that I was 3 stone lighter 10 years ago so when I went to collect the car I struggled to get in it! Oh and its low, very low. Anyway I have had it now 3 months and I can get in and out with ease and as a result of using the car daily I have toned up, especially the tops of my legs. So it has improved my fitness which is a bonus. These cars are unlike anything else you will ever drive and it will take a few days to get use to it. The gear change on the semi auto mode can be a bit unrefined but I normally just leave it in full auto mode which it handles well. Super easy to drive and actually quite a comfortable place to be, once you're in :) I get around 50mpg on a mix of open roads and town driving. Fun, open top driving, its quick off the mark with enough room under the front boot to store my work bag and boots or an overnight bag and a few bits. Love this car and so do so many others, lots of looks and you will always get a wave from other Smart Roadster owners.
