Subaru Impreza Estate 2.0 Sport 4WD 5d (1996/N) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Sturdy car. Paid over the odds at a main dealer though.
Costs
Petrol, petrol, petrol - this is a real enthusiast car - you wont get any more than 260-300 miles out of tank, and that's careful driving.
-
On the road
Driving
Zero wheel spin great in wet, handles extemely well.
Performance
Can't fault it - quick all round.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Nothing gone wrong yet, although dealer did a lot of work prior to purchase at 45k miles - new oil sump, rear exhaust, 4 new tyres, cambelt change/service.
Image
I love the car for its looks, will get you attention, both good and bad, mainly bad.
Comfort
Reasonably comfy, not much room in rear though.
-
Security and Service
Security
Got nciked, then dumped 800 yards down the road. Factory fitted immobilser did the trick I suppose - needs an alarm.
-
Problems and Ownership
Problems
Engine
Nothing. Still breaking in at 52k miles.
Other
Sometime, somewhere, someone will try and nick it - max up on security.
