Subaru Impreza Saloon (1993 - 2001) Turbo 2000 4WD 4d (SR) Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
The Impreza is a bit of a legend to car people and deservedly so.
Firstly the build quality is very good. The car feels incredibly strong and the mechanical parts of the car seem to have had a higher percentage of budget than most other cars. OK the interior is a little cheap and plasticky but don't let that put you off.
The driving position is excellent and the seats must be the most comfortable ever put in a car.
The whole drivetrian feels taught and unburstable. Perfomance from acceleration, braking handling is simply astounding. There are very few cars that will cover ground faster than an Impreza. I doubt there are many cars that will give you as much enjoyment. Nipping out to the shops to get milk often resulted in 100 miles plus trips such was the enjoyment of driving.
Overall the legend lives up to expectations. A great sounding engine with a great chasis and superb reliability and cheap services with the only downside are the cars thirst. Everyone into cars needs to own one of these legends to experience how good they are.
How reliable do you find the car?
Totally and untterly reliable in 16 years of ownership. One breakdown due to radiator being holed by punctured by sharp metal debris thrown up by a lorry.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
