Subaru Legacy Estate 2.5 Outback 5d (Luxury) (1999/V) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Big car - does not hold its value that well.
Costs
So far ok with no bills.

Driving
Good solid drive.
Performance
Performs well, cruises comfortably, good acceleration.
-
Living with it
Reliability
About 1 year after new, has all brake discs replaced under warrenty - rusted solid. Alloys replaced under warranty due to scuffing noise due to solid rust - not impressed.
Image
No problem for me, but not a particular head turner.
Comfort
Good in the front, back not so good. Rear seatbelts have a ratchet locking system for kiddies seats etc - this often kicks in when rear passengers belt up, locking rigidly in position - not good. Reported to Subaru but they were totally uninterested.
-
Security and Service
Security
Seems ok.
Service
Early service was good. Once over 2 years old - did not really want to know.
