Subaru Levorg Sport Tourer (2015 - 2022) 1.6 GT 5d Lineartronic Owner Review

In their own words
I used to wonder why there are so few Subarus about. After owning a Levorg for 20,000 miles I know. Expensive to run and maintain. Service every 10K costs about £450-500 without extras. In dealer on average every five weeks with issues. I use car for my wee business and depend on it every day. Time and money spent off road is not good. TPMS failed (£360), petrol cap stuck, steering rack, suspension bushes, hydraulic boot failed, rear seat folding latch failed. If it hadn't been for warranty, would have cost thousands in first year and bought at 30,000 miles with one owner, full Subaru service history and from Subaru dealer.
Too noisy - tyres and road - especially on our pot holed roads the noise is relentless...
Excellent round corners. I have been in and owned many sports cars with a firm to hard ride but the Levorg is underdamped - when going over pot holes, rumble strips or traffic calming the car does an unsettling and disconcerting hop - not acceptable.
For all the expense in fuel etc, not particularly fast due to turbo lag and CVT - have to allow a second or two before anything happens.
After a year and 20,000 miles with more repairs beckoning; back to Honda. People say Hondas are boring. Nothing is more boring than a car that needs ongoing maintenance...
