Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not looking for the standard rep-mobile - a sensible, but interesting buy.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They love it - especially when comparing stories about them getting stuck in the snow, whereas we have towed people uphill in the snow!!
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, but probably go for the Diesel since we use it more than we though we would - it is just sooo comfortable and enjoyable to drive.
What are you likely to buy next?
Not sure.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£8,000
When did you buy the car?
May 2010
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, the purchase price included a 1-year Subaru UK warranty. The advertised price was not much more than other independent dealers that were only offering a 3 month warranty.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Yes, I was looking for a four-wheel drive to replace my Land Rover Discovery TD5.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful, however, they were not prepared to offer book value for my TD5.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Performance is excellent from the 3.0 boxer engine, but fuel economy does suffer. There is a reasonable amount of body roll, but then again, with 200mm of ground clearance, it was never going to handle as well as a standards Legacy.
What's it like to park?
Very easy combined with the rear parking sensors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing
What's most practical about your car?
The four wheel drive and heated seats during a miserable winter in Aberdeen. The sunroof is great in summer.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
It has not options, but the four wheel drive is fantastic in the snow!
