Suzuki Alto (2009 - 2014) 1.0 SZ 5d Owner Review

We brought this off a friend when our main car died suddenly. The intention was to run it for a year before buying a newish family car. We ended up keeping it as our second car as we were so impressed by its low running costs and its ease of use around town. No tax, good mpg, very cheap insurance and minimal depreciation at this age are all great! The only thing we have replaced over 20k is tyres (2 sets) and that is probably down to my driving style! Build quality is pretty low but nothing has fallen off yet! It is actually quite spacious inside and the drop down back seats are very useful. We have taken it on about a dozen longer motorway journeys without issue but it does get blown around a bit in the wind. A great buy if you want a cheap city car with a bit of character- it’s actually pretty fun to drive too.
