Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Suzuki claim 65.7mpg for the Alto (64.2mpg when I bought mine). In practise, over 25,000 miles, mainly driving for economy and with tyres at maximum pressure, I have achieved 42.49mpg to 55.24mpg, averaging 49.7mpg. Following a recent adjudication on a 68.9mpg claim for the Audi A3 TDI, the ASA is now in discussions with all car manufacturers to prevent misleading mpg claims.
What's it like to park?
Easy to park - short with a good turning circle.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Creaking from suspension. Part replaced, but problem has come back.
What's most practical about your car?
Sopacious five door car at a low price.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
iPod connection. The borchure was misleading as an iPod connection was implied, but not fitted. After a long argument with Suzuki, involving the ASA, they fitted one free of charge.
