Suzuki Celerio (2015 - 2019) 1.0 SZ4 5d Auto Owner Review

In their own words
I see Suzuki have stopped offering the Auto version or AGS system which they offer on the Ignis too. Avoid, it's a dire gearbox. People love it or hate it. I hate it. It can thump into gear and judder moving off, stays in too high a gear at times and means I'm constantly having to manually override it. I've complained but Suzuki just say 'it's the nature of the gear system'. Not good enough. After having had an Alto (3 of them) the turning circle is lousy and hard to park. Having said that the car is spacious, sits higher on the road so good with elderly passengers getting in and out, plus grab handles to assist. Bluetooth system good if fiddly to set up. Sound system good but cost of extra sat nav ridiculous. Interior plastics utilitarian but seem resistant to knocks and most scratches. Seating comfy cloth if dull colour (black is everywhere!). Silly penny pinching in two areas - no boot light on a city car and spare key is not remote locking. They charge over £300 for second remote! Rip off. Overall drive? Bar that awful AGS, on motorway, 2500 miles through Europe in Alps, on autostrada, down tiny farm tracks and by the sea it drove amazingly. Was never tiring to drive and 100% reliable. Plus took the 4weeks of luggage etc we packed into it with ease. Back seats down gives lots of space. As a manual a terrific car but as an auto Suzuki need to apologise to all their buyers. Sorry too to any Ignis drivers who bought that AGS system too.
