Summary
What does this car say about you?
Unfortunately, Suzuki isn't a great brand, it isn't flashy. I bought it in black with privacy glass, so it looks quite bland. What does it say about me? That I'm not a mug to spend twice as much just for a Land Rover badge.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Some reasonably impressed but some cannot think beyond the badge.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes. My girlfriend wants one in white.
What are you likely to buy next?
A white one for the lady.

Did you get a good deal and why?
The SZ5's without a wheel on the back door were going cheap because the facelift model was out. I prefer it without a spare wheel on the back.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Hired one in the Caribbean, thought it was superb.
What was the dealer like?
Excellent, very helpful with various extras.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
I had a BMW 330 before this and I thought I'd find the SZ5 too slow but the 2.4 litre is very quick, probably because the car is quite light. It doesn't feel like an SUV at all. I've done 8000 miles in towns and on motorways, it's great.
What's it like to park?
I had the reversing bleepers fitted from new, so it's easy. In multi story car parks it's no problem.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Everything has worked perfectly from day one. I thought there might be niggles but I love driving it. Half the price of a BMW X3/Freelander/Q3. Doors close with a real chunky feel, it's fast, handles like a car.
What's most practical about your car?
It's JUST the right size. I tried a few other SUV's, so many are too big and hard to park. This has the footprint of a medium sized saloon.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The soft perforated leather seats, superb. Not that hard, shiny leather of some makes. I fitted chrome door handle covers, nice touch.
