What else can you get that combines a genuine 4x4 with low gear ratio for off-roading and a soft-top for great summer adventures? Been reliable and great fun for driving to the coast, driving on the beach and driving through the forest and up the hills on off-road tracks. Also drives fine in the motorway.
How reliable do you find the car?
20 years old now. Only problems are ERG valve and idle control valve get clogged with carbon occasionally - easily cured by using ERG cleaner, spraying in air intake (after removing air filter).
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
Still in great condition after 20 years. Been serviced every year. You may want to fit a new soft top easy if you're into pop-reveting. Love it with the top down on a sunny day, can even get a surf board in with the rear window removed.
