Suzuki Kizashi Saloon (2012-2013) boot space, practicality and safety
Seven airbags, including a driver’s knee airbag and ESP are all fitted as standard. You also have the benefit of being able to switch from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive if conditions should warrant this. This could prove useful in the winter months and gives the driver an added sense of security. Euro NCAP has not tested the Kizashi yet, but it achieved five stars in American testing so we expect it to receive a similar score in the UK.
Four adults can sit comfortably in the Kizashi, but you do get more room in similarly priced cars such as the Mondeo and Insignia. You could squeeze a fifth person in if you are only doing a very short journey – the middle seat in the rear should only be used for children or those under six foot and of a slender frame. There are plenty of cubbies for loose change and there’s also two drinks holders in the central console transmission tunnel.
Open the boot and you’ll find a sizeable loadspace of 461 litres. You might be disappointed by the lightweight feel of the bootlid, however.
