Summary
What does this car say about you?
In a way it's quite a cheeky car, and bought a smile to my face everytime I was behind the wheel.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I received alot of jokes whilst using the car, which I laughed off because I loved it so much, some said it looks like the car out of the back to the future films, but that's a compliment, right? My family and friends always said it was comfortable and it served us well over the years, so I guess they liked it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Without a doubt I would buy this car because it's so cheap and practical for a first car.
What are you likely to buy next?
I have bought a Chevrolet Kalos, but I was also considering a Fiat Punto Grande (1.4), VW Polo/Golf (various engine sizes) or the more modern Suzuki Swift.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£70,000
When did you buy the car?
December 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
Got a good deal as the car had only done 57,000 miles and had one owner who was on older man, this also meant he had serviced the car at official Suzuki garages only, so everything had been serviced with high quality etc. With the low mileage and overall cheapness and condition of the car, I was pleased with the bargain.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
This was my very first car as an 18 year old, I spotted in a private dealer and as a 1L car the insurance was very cheap, along with the tax and fueling costs. It was also very roomy for a young driver, has quite a big boot and also knew it would be a cheap car to service.
What was the dealer like?
The dealer was nice, an old man who had run the family business, very honest and critical about the cars.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Overall a good drive, comfortable inside for short and long journeys. Very economical with fuel even when doing 80mph for the majority of a 100-mile journey. Can easily go through the gears but the engine can sometimes be very noisy, also because of the small frame of the car the wind and road noise is also quite loud. The engine feels quite powerful and the car is a brilliant 'little runner'.
What's it like to park?
In terms of the size and placement of the mirrors, the car is easy to park. However, the car does not have power steering so sometimes it can take a while to park in the smaller spaces or reverse out of tighter spaces.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Over the three years I've had the car, nothing has ever gone wrong the car. Brilliant motor.
What's most practical about your car?
It's quite small and easy to park, brilliant around town.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
It's quite hard to narrow this down as the whole car is rather basic inside and out, but it if very spacious for a small car so this is it's best feature.
