Suzuki Swift 1.3 GLS 3d (1996/N) Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
-
Economy
Value
Fairly economical, but overshadowed by constant need of replacement of odd tid-bits!
Costs
Keep the RPMs down and your pocket wont go skinny! It is a Japanese car after all - can't beat the Japs!
-
On the road
Driving
Comfortable, user-friendly in the city - however, on the motorway there is room for improvement. Anything over 60mph is loud and sluggish - RPMs are high, therefore petrol disappears.
Performance
Quite a nippy lil bugger! Not bad for a naturally aspirated 1.3 - gearbox a bit too 'fragile-feeling' when driving like Schumacher, though!
-
Living with it
Reliability
No probs with getting out to work in the morns! Always ready to go :o)
Image
Not exactly the hottest hatch - go for a GTi model. However, will give the Pugs and Hondas a good run for their money.
Comfort
Up front is just about average - in the rear it is quite cramped - according to my passengers :o) ...I wouldn't know.

Security and Service
Security
Central locking, keyless entry. Serves average peace of mind.
Service
Lea Bridge Suzuki in East London really and truly do suck! They have one aim in life and it is to rip you off! Dear Mr Suzuki, they are giving your company a very bad name - horrible customer service.

Umm... none that I can think of.

Both windows need to be re-aligned as they simply pop off their rollers and drop into door.
