Value
Early cars can be found for £500 or less, get the best you can afford, unmolested unmodified if possible. Dealer costs can be high but most parts available pattern(4x lockheed discs and pads £100!)
Costs
38 mpg me driving, 45mpg with the wife at the wheel. Insurance can be high at group 12 so shop around.

On the road
Driving
Very underated, good handling, no power steering but ok on move.
Performance
100 bhp from 1300cc's, twin cam 16v, 0-60 in around 8.5secs and 120mph (8000 rpm redline!)

Living with it
Reliability
Starter motor starting to wear, £200+ from Suzuki, £70 from breakers. No other problems in 18 months.

Getting very rare, will soon become a novelty buy.
Comfort
No steering adjustment so get the seat correct, left knee can rub on centre tunnel ifyour over 5'9"".

No frill, no central locking, fit after market.

Visit Suzuki dealers and negotiate service costs (they will knock money off).
