Summary
What does this car say about you?
Hopefully that I have bought a very practical and rather unusual car.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
So far, people who have noticed have been impressed. My wife certainly is.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Quite possibly though it is too early to say.
What are you likely to buy next?
Too early to say but if this Suzuki goes on behaving this well, I may well stick with it as a brand.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£16,495
When did you buy the car?
May 2015
Did you get a good deal and why?
I think so. The car had been owned by someone who worked for Suzuki UK so I benefit from a lifetime warranty, free servicing, free car pick up and return and so on.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I wanted a smallish all-wheel drive with automatic transmission which was less Jeep-like than my old Freelander.
What was the dealer like?
Very efficient and courteous, and not at all pushy.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It's not powerful nor does it have fast acceleration but then I don't need or want either of those things - I prefer economy and comfort! It's fine cruising at 70, quiet and smooth; it struggles very slightly going up steep hills (it's only a 1.6 engine) but if you manually change down, it accelerates quite comfortably. It is skittish over rough roads at low speeds and you notice if you hit a pothole, and the steering has taken a bit of getting used to as it is so much lighter than my old Freelander. But I am getting perfectly good MPG - about 40+, and much better than my Freelander.
What's it like to park?
A doddle, what with a great turning circle, front warning beepers and a rearview camera and beepers.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing at all, but I have only had it for a few weeks.
What's most practical about your car?
It has a brilliant turning circle, very good visibility, loads of space in the back with easy folding seats, it is very comfortable (and I have a very bad back which suffered badly in my old car).
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Reversing camera and warning beeps rear and front; heated front seats; easy to use cruise control.
