Summary
What does this car say about you?
Someone who is more concerned with value for money and economy than anything else.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Not much - it's just a mid range car, no more and no less.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Economy is good (average of 50mpg) but not nearly as good as expected, and the interior of the car is very plasticky and dull. The car is perfectly adequate for country roads but a pain to drive on motorways due to the noise issue and the low torque, requiring constant revving of the engine.
What are you likely to buy next?
A diesel - better torque. Not sure about the brand.

Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?

December 2013
Did you get a good deal and why?
Introduced by a broker, so saved around £3,000 on the list price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Fuel economy, cheap to insure, sat-nav, reversing camera.
What was the dealer like?
Very professional and efficient.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Easy, but also dull and uninvolving. The engine is quiet at low speeds but very noisy once you go above 60mph. Wind noise is also audible. Tiring to drive on the motorway as torque is very low and the engine needs to be pushed constantly to maintain a decent speed.
What's it like to park?
Very easy, given the rear and front sensors, reversing camera and automated parking system.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No
What's most practical about your car?
Adequate internal space and boot.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Reversing camera. The car also has an automated parking function, though I've never used it.
