Toyota Avensis Hatchback 1.8 VVT-i T3-X 5d (2003/03) Owner Review

Economy
Value
I'm not sure there is better value for money on the market.
Costs
The first service comes at 10,000 miles. Can't fault that.

On the road
Driving
I had a Mondeo previously where I found the ride and handling had both more feeling and comfort. The driving position is great and the controls 1st class.
Performance
As good as any 1.8 family car. Can be nippy when pushed, but you will find yourself sliding around in the seat when cornnering quickly.

Living with it
Reliability
Unbreakable.
Image
It's a great looking car - if it had a BMW badge on the front it would fall into the 5. I've had many compliments.
Comfort
Again, not as comfy as the Mondeo (The Ford gets a 5).

Security and Service
Security
Sensible double locking system, which means with an extra click of the remote, no one will be able to unlock the car from the inside. Also, when unlocking the car and not opening the doors for 30sec, in will lock the car for you.
Service
Can't think of any buts.
