I don't think so, disappointed a lot of all issues.
What are you likely to buy next?
Will go for cheaper car: Ford Mondeo diesel or maybe Rover 75 diesel.

Did you get a good deal and why?
I paid similar price like the others petrol engine Avensis of the same year.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Good looking car, good resale price, cheap insurance group, spacious inside, large boot, smooth to drive.
What was the dealer like?
Dealer was good seller, very attentive, good communicator, after I bought that car he did full valeting. Overall experience was really good.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Smooth and comfortable. In town is it a bit thirsty. Would be good to have cruise control while driving on motorways.
What's it like to park?
This is the large car, parking sensors would be an advantage.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Was 93000 miles on the clock. First month was trouble free driving. I was really happy. After starter motor failed (bought refurbished for £99, replaced by my self. Later failed MOT, one of the rod end was worn out (new rod £34, replaced by my self. After 6 month bought a new battery £60. Engine burns the oil. Just keep toping up. Common problem with this type engine (1.8 vvvt i petrol). Recently bought 2 front tyres, wiper blades, more oil to top up. Next MOT failed becaue of emission. Replaced new oxygen sensor (Denso £60 from ebay, replaced by my self). MOT test passed. After one year driving just done arround 10k miles. Now waiting for another thing to fail or thinking to sell.
What's most practical about your car?
Spacious boot and interior.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Electric windows and climatronic. This is the basic model there is no any gadgets.
