Just someone that needs a practical family car. It's not a car you can pose with.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I haven't had any comments really.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes - very pleased after the first two years of ownership. Best car I have ever owned. Will go for the newer model Avensis next time. Toyota dealers are good as well for parts/servicing. Customer service very good.

Avensis T27.

Did you get a good deal and why?
The price was a little less than Parkers indicated I should pay and so I was quite pleased.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
I had one as a hire car and just loved it - made me want to buy one.
What was the dealer like?
Well, it was a car supermarket so you'll never get the treatment you would from a main dealer. They did everything they said they were going to do and there were no immediate problems when I collected the car.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Well as all the reviews say, it is not exciting but the engine torque and refinement makes for a great motorway cruiser. It just eats motorway miles and does it economically.
What's it like to park?
Difficult. Rear view is not a plus point. Rear parking sensors (which I don't have) are a must. I may get some fitted.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
I bought the car in winter and so didn't realise the air conditioning was not working. Anyway, it cost around £300 to get a new pipe fitted. Also needed a new brake caliper after a problem with the bleed screw. No problems with the car since apart from needing a new battery.
What's most practical about your car?
There's alot of space inside the cabin and boot. The seats fold down to allow large items to be transported. The interior is well laid out and everything works.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The stereo is fantastic. The climate control is great.
