This car is family transport which does what you need it to "say on the can" - safe, reliable, spacious, robust, durable, economical, calm, well-equipped, powerful, uncomplicated, and has delivered and delivered. Only after 150000 miles have there been minor repairs - a broken spring & leaking shock-absorber - perfectly affordable. Regular service has brought rewards to a super-smooth engine and gearbox which seem to go on forever with clean emissions. Climate control and satnav, a quality audio system, both front seats adjustable for height, fog lights, sturdy roof rails and quality paintwork all tell you that this car was thought through from proper research. A great calm long-distance tourer, it readily carries a full family with all their luggage, with torque levels which leave competitors in the shade, and is a load-lugger for any number of tasks. Quality materials and finishes add to the ownership experience. For me, Toyota nailed it with this one.
