Summary
What does this car say about you?
Not sure that it really makes much of a statement really other than I've not followed the trend and bought a BMW/Audi!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Not many comments really; it's not a 'special' car.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Absolutely. It's met my needs in every way.
What are you likely to buy next?
I plan to run this one for a number of years, on the assumption that it continues to be as economical and reliable as it is. The next car might need to have just a little more power though..

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£12,500
When did you buy the car?
March 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Yes, I think I got a lot of car for the money.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Good long-distance cruiser, and good value for money.
What was the dealer like?
Snows Toyota of Southampton have been a pleasure to deal with. A couple of minor niggles (trim and a window seal) were repaired very quickly and under warranty.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very refined overall. Performance is best described as 'adequate'; there's enough power to maintain good progress but it's not really powerful enough for much overtaking on 'A' roads. Having said that, the engine is perfectly flexible and has useable torque almost from idle.
What's it like to park?
Good visibility and no problem to park. Mine has the rear camera which works fine but I prefer the ultrasonic parking sensors on my older Saab as I can listen to those whilst I'm looking around whereas on the Toyota I need to look at the dash (monitor) hence take my eyes off the real world!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No, other than a couple of minor trim issues.
What's most practical about your car?
Very large boot and plenty of storage places in the cabin.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Cruise control is essential for long-distance driving (south coast to Aberdeen and back).
