Summary
What does this car say about you?
My model is orange, so it is very bright, cheerful and colourful.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Most people love it. The colour isn't for everyone but the design at the front and the leather interior get good comments.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. If buying on finance, the Toyota Financial Services are very poor. But if buying cash, you should have more confidence.
What are you likely to buy next?
The new Mazda 2.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£13,600
When did you buy the car?
November 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
I bought the vehicle on a PCP deal, however the monthly figures we agreed to were high, however didn't realise this until I saw other deals.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Funky styling, bright colour!
What was the dealer like?
Dealer was fantastic, a family run, local main dealer with friendly, brilliant staff.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
As the car is faulty, the driving experience is pretty poor. The engine is very noisy at high revs and acceleration with the 69bhp 3 cylinder engine is very slow. But once you're at motorway/cruising speeds the car is very nippy and can overtake with ease.
What's it like to park?
Very very easy. Reversing camera makes parallel parking a complete breeze. Good visibility from the drivers seat. The car is cursed by a terrible single window wiper on the front screen, which doesn't quite reach eye height on the passenger side. Window Wipers are poor also (from day one) so very often find myself cleaning the window with glass cleaner every 100 miles or so.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
It's been a nightmare. The gearbox failed at just over 2000 miles, we asked Toyota to fix it on 3 occasions, they refused. We attempted to reject the car but again, this was refused. We had the vehicle inspected by an independent engineer and he found faults with the Gearbox, Engine Mount & Exhaust! Currently with the Financial Ombudsman.
What's most practical about your car?
Five doors are a bonus. Doors open nice and wide.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The infotainment system is good. However don't be duped into the Smartphone App they use to sell it. Called 'AppInCar' it doesn't work, and therefore the music streaming/phone calls are just like any other modern system. Reversing camera is brilliant.
