Toyota Aygo X 1.0 VVT-i Limited Edition 5dr Auto Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I bought the limited edition with auto gearbox so spent quite a lot on it and so far have not been disappointed. I do a lot of miles commuting so a car that I’m comfortable with is important.
It doesn’t have as good a sound system as my previous mk3 Yaris Excel, but it does have wireless CarPlay which is really useful. I love the large 9” display screen too. It allows for using the split display screen easily as it is still big enough to see and use.
Toyota Safety Sebse features are awesome, but weird when the car takes over the steering wheel but when you get used to it, it’s fine and works really well. The engine isn’t the most powerful kid on the block but it has proved to be a dependable little work horse and rather economical too. I am getting an average MPG on 1500 miles a month of 58, I could get more if I thought about it but I’m a sloppy driver! City driving would probably yield higher figures.
The car is incredibly manoeuvrable. The turning circle is unbelievably small so it’s great in small spaces and the front and rear (and corner) sensors look after you.
I’ve seen reviews which say the body work is flimsy. Can’t say that I had noticed any issues when I’ve been cleaning the car, but it’s a lightweight little thing so I’m not expecting it to be made of solid steel.
So far so good. Love the car to look at and driving it is joyful.
How reliable do you find the car?
It starts perfectly every time and have had no issues.
Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
The CVT automatic transmission is pretty smooth. Does the job and can override with the steering wheel paddles if I need more torque for overtaking or whatever.
