Toyota Carina E Saloon 2.0 GLi 4d (1995/N) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Good value for money, all the toys you want. I chose an earlier model because I dont like air-con, totally superfluous in this country I reckon.
Costs
Toyota bits aren't cheap but you don't need many of them. Biggest cost I've had in four years was £130 for a timing belt at 70,000 miles.

On the road
Driving
I've got Michelins all round and it handles well, feels safe and sure, never had any dramas.
Performance
This car really shifts, forget your hot hatches a real wolf in sheeps clothing, now the engine is well run in it goes a lot quicker than the official 0-60 time of 8.8 secs, easily capable of 130mph.

Reliability
No probs at all, just had to buy standard consumables like tyres, pads etc…

I like it, thats what counts.
Comfort
Firm, comfy seats, absolutely perfect steering wheel, pedal set up, I never feel tired even after 6-7 hour journeys.
