Economy
Value
Beware, you can be ripped off badly if you have an import, like me. But I've had the car 3 years and the only thing it's needed has been two new tyres, cam belt and an oil filter!

Driving
Corners at speed well and forgiving if you 'overcook' things. Acceleration could be better from standing start, as it is more geared for motorway driving. 60+ is great for a 2.0
Performance
You won't beat Imprezas unless you're in a GT4, but this will beat most Vauxhalls, Fords or similar cars of the same engine size inc. the MR2 and new Celicas. Mine has an HKS filter and exhaust which gives a deep throaty roar - great at revsā¦

Living with it
Reliability
It's never broken down and doesn't require a lot of money to look after it - it's made well and parts last.
Image
Despite what Parkers say, (AND mine is white), I get complimented about the car all the time by varying age groups. Girls seem to like it, guys admire it - especially with the aftermarket exhaust note...
Comfort
I love the seats, although the wife complains they're uncomfortable on long journeys because of the hard ride. Excellent speakers as standard.

Security and Service
Security
Pretty poor - I had a CAT 2 alarm and immobiliser fitted.
Service
The dealers won't service imports and they rip you off for parts too. You're better off going to a specialist. I even wrote to Toyota to complain about this and they simply weren't interested.
