Summary
What does this car say about you?
Show off.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Love it. Compliments everywhere it goes and my nephew loves it to pieces. The words "nice car mate" never get old either.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes it's a brilliant car and for a mixture of performance, economy and reliability you can't get better in my opinion.
What are you likely to buy next?
Well there's no celica models planned and I don't like the GT86's weird face so probably a mazda 3 mps.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£8,000
When did you buy the car?
March 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
I felt it was a good deal. The car was sold by Toyota as it was in such good condition. It was the lowest mileage GT for sale at the time. I got 4 new tyres, discs and pads done, 12 month warranty and GAP insurance for a great price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Owned a GT-FOUR and wanted another Celica!
What was the dealer like?
RRG Bolton are excellent. The service there is second to none. They genuinely can't do enough for you and their head office always rings a day or two after your visit to ensure you were completely satisfied. Sean the salesman wasn't pushy and bent over backwards to get the car ready for me the next day as I needed it for work. Would definitely buy from them again.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Very engaging. Very responsive. The close ratio gearbox means gear changes aren't required as often as a 5 speed. The car will happily drive along at 30mph in 4/5/6th gear depending on the situation. 4th gear over roundabouts is fine as an alternative to 2nd/3rd so revs stay low but the power is always there without the juddering. Quite a unique attribute which makes town driving incredibly easy. As for performance, yeah it's fast. The lift effect on the engine kicks in at 6000rpm and continues to 8200rpm and gives you use of the 190bhp. In a lightweight car it really does move. 0-60 comes in around 7 seconds so competes with cars which much more power. The sound is phenomenal. Pure Toyota, such a treat.
What's it like to park?
Easy. Body shape has a nice flat boot so you can't go wrong.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Air conditioning unit, central locking and heat shield have all been replaced. Luckily I pay for the warranty monthly otherwise the air com unit would have set me back about £500.
What's most practical about your car?
6 speed close ratio gearbox makes driving hassle free and economical. The boot is very big for this class of car.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
6 cd multi changer and premium sound system. Brilliant quality sound and easy to use.
