Economy
Value
Some of the trim plastics could have been better, as could the sound system. Amazing size boot for a coupe and superb build quality.
Costs
Reasonable insurance, servicing (10k miles £90, 20k miles £140) and fuel, once managed 450miles on a fuel tank although this was a rare occurence, more typically 370miles with more keen driving.

On the road
Driving
Taking corners and braking is generally sure-footed in the dry, not as reassuring in the wet. Great gearbox, steering could have been a little heavier.
Performance
Over 6000rpm, acceleration is amazing for a tweaked naturally aspirated 1.8, producing an excellent racy engine sound. Low torque means you have to keep it revved (could have done with a turbo and rear wheel drive).

Living with it
Reliability
Front brake discs and centre wheel caps corroded, but replaced under warranty also common problem of boot lid gas arms failing were also replaced under warranty.
Image
Sharp styling makes the car stand out rather than bland rounded designs of most.
Comfort
Excellent supportive comfy leather seats and good driving position, but over-bearing road noise can be a problem for long motorway miles. Excellent climate control system.

Security and Service
Security
Twin front and side airbags, ABS and EBD. Remote central locking with deadlocks and microwave interior protection.
Service
Sales and after-sales support was excellent, but have had a mixed level of service from local dealerships and generally have to book weeks in advance.
