Toyota Celica Coupe (1999 - 2006) 1.8 VVTLi T Sport 3d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
I have owned 2 Toyota celica t sports now and I love them. They have min or faults like any car but if looked after the are extremely reliable. Look out for the heater matrix getting blocked and not blowing out hot air. Brakes could have been sharper and the suspension is too high for a sports cope. The wheels are too sunken into the arches. Toyota should have made it lower and made the wheels flush. Everything else is spot on. It has air con. Climate control. Heated mirrors. Electric sunroof. Electric mirrors. Dead locking. Electric windows. Really comfy leather seats. Lift kicks it at around 6200rpm and goes all the way to 8300rpm and the engine screams. Sounds awesome. Great for overtaking. Looks looks fresh today. I will be buying the gt version next and keep it forever lol
How reliable do you find the car?
The water pump failed on me and the aux belt strated sqeeking. But at 190k miles that's all that's needed doing on it. Oh the drivers side brake caliper was sticking so needed an over haul. The heater matrix had failed and wouldn't blow out hot air. Common fault on these that was fixed with a flush.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
I had a 2001 t sport before I bought this 2003 t sport and my previous one seemed faster. It was more aggressive in lift. Maybe the 190k miles is taking its toll on the cams. Still hits lift just not as aggressive as I'd like.About their car
