Toyota Celica Hatchback GT 3d (2000/V) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
Looks, performance and Japanese quality - all at an affordable price!
Costs
Relatively cheap to buy (best are worth the extra £). Non-Toyota servicing average £. Parts above avg £ - but rarely needs parts!
-
On the road
Driving
Like it's on tracks... As excellent for daily commuting as it is for blasting through country lanes.
Performance
Excellent acceleration and top speed.
-
Living with it
Reliability
Usual used car glitches. Fuse case loose. Front plastic trim cracked. Wind whistle at high speed.
Image
Aggressive looking sports coupes are back in. Also not so common now.
Comfort
Great seats and driving position. No a/c on mine but it has got electric windows and sunroof - so who cares!
-
Security and Service
Security
Required Cat 2 alarm for insurance. Eastern cars are left alone more than European cars.
Service
Ordered wheel nuts - 2 weeks to arrive and were the wrong sort! (10 types available for same model.) Just expect to pay a lot from Toyota dealer. Parts cheaper elsewhere so why bother.
