Toyota Corolla Hatchback 1.3 GS 5d (1996/P) Owner Review

Economy
Value
Good however with the introduction of the new Corolla there are a lot around early 1.3/1.6 are definitely the best buy. GLi\Si\GXi are hard to find but good value because of the extras.
Costs
Servicing and parts can be expensive, but they rarely go wrong. A lot of them have Toyota service history so it isn't all that expensive.

On the road
Driving
Could have better handling and more feel through the steering.
Performance
The 74bhp really lets it down. Earlier models are truely the better buy.

Living with it
Reliability
Never lets you down!
Image
Not exactly exciting to look at but both the GXi&Si look the best.
Comfort
Again earlier models have nicer interiors, but they generally wear well.

Security and Service
Security
Key immobiliser but really could do with an alarm.
Service
The Toyota staff are very friendly, but do need a lot of prompting to get things done.
