Toyota Corolla Hatchback 1.3 XLi 5d (1993/K) Owner Review

Economy
Value
It doesn't come with too many bells and whistles but it is a nice, simple, well built car.
Costs
Fuel consumption is very good, but being Japanese, parts cost the earth. Also insurance group 9 is very high for a 1.3l car.

On the road
Driving
I'm not the most experienced driver on the road at only 17, but it is by far the most responsive car I have driven.
Performance
For a 1.3, it flies off the starting block.
-
Living with it
Reliability
In the 4 years it's been owned by my family we haven't had any real problems at all.
Image
It's not the most distinctive looking car on the road, but its clean, simple lines are not displeasing to the eye. Not quite as attractive as the 1997 model, though.
Comfort
It's roomy enough, but I wouldn't want to do too many long journeys in it.

Security and Service
Security
What with it not being the most desireable car to steal, I haven't experienced anyone trying to break in to it yet.
Service
Nothing has ever gone wrong on the car that has required a professional to touch the car yet. It has been well looked after over the years and doesn't seem to need to go into the garage every 10k miles.

None whatsoever! Runs like a dream.
