Summary
What does this car say about you?
It makes me look a lot more respectable than if I driven a corsa with a big exhaust.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They all love it!
Would you buy this car again and why?
I would definitely buy this car again but if I did I would probably go for the 1.6 as before the VVTi the 1.4 can struggle especially if there's weight in the car. This can only be expected with a small engine.
What are you likely to buy next?
I am looking at a T-sport Corolla next, I would love the Compressor T-sport but as I'm only 20 I think the insurance would be through the roof!

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Independent
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£150
When did you buy the car?
November 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
I got a very good deal as the old lady who I bought it off religiously went to Toyota to have the car fixed, MOT'd and serviced and was told it would cost £1,000 to fix a misfire. I Bought it for £150 (she wanted to scrap it) and fixed a faulty coil for £80.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
It was being sold at scrap value and I wanted to get it running to use as my first car.
What was the dealer like?
Very helpful in providing information as it had 1 owner from brand new.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It drives very well the only issue is the suspension, sometimes it feels like you are trying to corner a ship as it leans into every corner but it's very comfortable long distance and in a straight line but the seats don't offer much support so you find yourself holding onto the steering wheel and gearstick to save you ending up in the passenger seat!
What's it like to park?
Great to park with it being a small 3 door hatchback.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing so far, the car has 134,000 miles on it and all that has been changed is 1 coil and obviously engine oil and gearbox oil.
What's most practical about your car?
It's a small car but it's surprising how much you can fit in it! Plus the reliability of the motor.
