Summary
What does this car say about you?
This shouldn't really matter but as we live in a consumerist society it does. A Toyota says reliability and sensible. However this is the SR spec (tinted windows, bigger alloys, body kit, rare colour) so it also says "hooligan" too: a bit split personality it would seem.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Other half likes it for its space and reliability. Family seem to like it as its safe. Friends thinks it a bit boy-racery in style.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Although it's got bomb-proof reliability, handling is fun it still is a little boring. For your every day person it's perfect but if you're a car fan then it lacks a little soul...
What are you likely to buy next?
Saab 9-3 Aero.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£3,995
When did you buy the car?
May 2014
Did you get a good deal and why?
Got a year's extended warranty. Piece of mind. A good deal, possibly not; when buying from a dealer and you try to sell it down the line you'll always be out of pocket.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Reputation of reliability appealed to me. Sporty looks. Bought from a main dealer so felt safe with a year's warranty.
What was the dealer like?
Professional and accommodating.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Handling around town is great due to its skinny tyres. However on long motorway journeys it doesn't feel as planted because of this. Again round town, loads of 'go' and 20-40mph it feels very quick. Can cruise at 25mph in fourth gear. However 75+ on the motorway becomes tiresome due to the engine volume. Could do with a sixth gear for this! Driving position too high but due to a high bonnet: modern car annoyance of mine.
What's it like to park?
Pretty easy although the bonnet is quite high (annoyingly like most modern cars) so it feels closer to the car in front than it actually is.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Apart from tyres (wear and tear) - nothing.
What's most practical about your car?
5 door hatchback; rear seats fold down flat, decent size boot, full spare alloy wheel.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Electric mirrors, air con, remote central locking - all common now.
