There are no negatives about the car. It's reliability and durability are outstanding. It is still on the original exhaust system. The alloy wheels let it down a bit, I had to get them shot blasted and repainted in 2007 and again in 2019. I've only twice had to call out the breakdown service{ once because a non Toyota CD autochanger was incorrectly installed and caused the battery to go flat, and once last winter when the extreme cold killed the 9 year old battery. The bodywork still looks great. Easily the most dependable car I have owned. My wife bought an identical one new in 2005, and oddly she had to replace the exhaust in 2016. Other than that, no bother whatsoever. Great reliability and a pleasure to drive and own.
How reliable do you find the car?
The mileage is low for the year. Other than an issue early on with the windscreen wiper linkage, a failed switch for the electric window 5 years ago , and an problem with the front passenger airbag sensor 2 years ago, nothing has gone wrong. Also, oth front airbags were replaced as part of a recall.Does the car do everything you expected it to do?
