Economy
Value
I thought at 15.5k, this was a good value car (considering all of the extras etc).
Costs
A pump was replaced under warranty. At 47k miles it has had a new clutch and new 'brain' (computer). The front and rear disks / pads have been changed. I average around 33mpg.

On the road
Driving
Holds the road reasonably well, feels very solid and cruises nicely around the 65-70mph mark. At 80mph the engine becomes quite noisy (and in my opinion the drive becomes uncomfortable).
Performance
This is no 'hot hatch' but does have plenty of power. You need to be driving at 6000rpm+ to really get this car to accelerate. I would prefer more torque at lower revs.

Living with it
Reliability
Has never broken down / failed to start in 47k miles.
Image
Not bad looking car, although not in the same league as Golf GTI / Civic R Type.
Comfort
Seats very comfortable, although I would prefer them to be a little firmer (and with lumbar support).

Security and Service
Security
Hasn't been stolen yet. Alarm / immobiliser appear to work very well.
Service
Very well looked after by Dealer (Simms Toyota, Northampton).
