In their own words
At the start of 2022 my BMW 3 series was becoming just too expensive to run so I decided to make the jump to Hybrid. From initial inspection I was impressed with the MPG figures and the look of the car. I test drove it and was fairly impressed however after purchasing I soon decided I had made an error in judgement. Firstly the engine has great power from the 2.0ltr however I just found it revved way too high. On a long motorway journey when I was putting my foot down the revs were up to 5000. Around town this car is great but on the motorway it falls down. The fuel tank is too small, I was only getting 320 miles at best out of the tank so I was filling up twice a week. MPG on a long run was around 40mpg at best. The entertainment system is awful to use, and the sat nav was useless. My main issue with the car and reason for trading it in for a Volvo was the space. The rear passenger space is very cramped and due to the battery being in the boot it was tiny, my poor dog just did not fit. I had battery charging issues with the car which cost over £200 to rectify. I bought the car for its low mileage however that seemed to end up detrimental to its life span so watch out for that. I also found the constant beeping infurating and the adaptive cruise control a pain. Overall I would not recommend this car for high mileage motorway usage or families, it is just too small. I lasted 2 months before I had to get rid of it having put 5000 miles on it.
