Toyota Corolla Touring Sports Design Hybrid 1.8 VVT-i auto 5d Owner Review
Want to know everything there is to know about this car?
In their own words
This is a company car. I was stupid enough to believe that the new Corolla would handle better than older Toyota’s of this market segment. The drivetrain is simply brilliant. The car pulls quickly from stop and fuel consumption is amazing. The cabin is more or less spacious, the same applies of course for the trunk. Cabin materials are also good quality, but the overall layout of controls is funky. There are not a lot of spaces available to the driver and co-driver and I honestly don’t understand why Toyota keeps the gear lever between the two front seats, I mean this is a CVT automatic, they could have a set of buttons on the dashboard and assign this space to a storage compartment or something. Handling is average if there is a minimum of sporty character in you. Yes , it is comfortable with the suspension ironing out bumps and potholes, but there is significant roll on turns and the car doesn’t give me the feeling that it is glued on the road like a Golf, an A-class or even a Mazda 3. Air conditioning is good, the base radio looks and sounds cheap, visibility is OK. The car feels light, both when driving at speed and when you slam the door shut. Not happy with my choice, now I am stuck with it. One recommendation only, test drive it before you decide!
How reliable do you find the car?
It looks and feels very well built. It’s a Corolla after allDoes the car do everything you expected it to do?
Drivetrain is brilliant. Handling would probably be OK for a senior citizen.About their car
