Summary
What does this car say about you?
It probably says I am a fairly ordinary guy with an average-looking vehicle. But the T180 badge on the back alerts the discerning observer that I have a secret lust for power and excitement!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like it. Its slightly higher ride makes is particularly suitable for one or two older folk we transport from time to time.
Would you buy this car again and why?
I don't regret buying it, But the issues with the DPF problem completely wiped out any savings on lower fuel consumption as a result of having a diesel. As a result I am likely to look for a petrol car next time.
What are you likely to buy next?
Not sure. Possibly Mitsubishi ASX or Nissan Qashqai.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Didn't buy from a dealer
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£12,000
When did you buy the car?
April 2008
Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Wanted a compact 7-seater and this looked good. (Previous car - VW Caravelle - a bit too much like a bus!).
What was the dealer like?

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The 2.2 180hp engine makes this a treat to drive. Though a diesel, it is relatively quiet, and it makes for a relaxing journey on the motorway.
What's it like to park?
Quite easy!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Generally it's been a good reliable car. Biggest problem was the need to replace the Diesel Particulate Filter at about 100,000 miles at a cost of approx £1,600!
What's most practical about your car?
It's just a good solid MPV.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
For the kids the favourite gadget until they grew up was the DVD screens in the back of the front seat head-rests! :-) For me, this is the first car I have had with cruise control - it is something I will look for as a must in any replacement.
