Summary
What does this car say about you?
It says that I don't follow the crowd. I am not a sheep.....
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Work colleagues gave me stick about it, I told them I got it in a Happy Meal and it shut them up. I don't really care what others think. I never seek approval of others. The Fiancee likes it though, but she thinks its too small for me.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes I would. Whats not to like? Average MPG has never fallen below 51mpg (I brim it when filling it up so get an accurate MPG), CHEAP insurance, free VED, great kit, safe, I could go on.....
What are you likely to buy next?
I wouldn't mind a Honda CR-Z. But another IQ would suffice.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£7,995
When did you buy the car?
August 2012
Did you get a good deal and why?
Dealer gave me a great Part Ex price for my knackered Yaris (2wks MOT & VED remaining and broken Gearbox), so were happy to get rid of Yaris for a good price. Knocked money off IQ forecourt price too (I'm pushy).
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Apart from the green credentials, it is rare, exclusive and has a lot of standard kit. I love its Marmite image.
What was the dealer like?
Pleasure to deal with, good communication.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Nimble, light steering with just enough feel. Short wheel base does bang you about on uneven bends so be careful. Engine is a dream, that 3 pot sound is addictive and only obtrusive at high revs. Long gearing great for economy, but not for instant progress so needs to be revved hard for quick (ish) acceleration. Quiet for such a small unit when on motorway.
What's it like to park?
If you can't manoeuvre or park an IQ you should be ashamed of yourself. Parking is a joy.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No faults in 3 months of ownership, everything works as it should.
What's most practical about your car?
This car is not practical, but you knew that anyway. Practical cars are soooooooo 2001 anyway.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Kobe Plum Leather seats really add class to the interior. Electric folding mirrors are a nice touch. Great quality sound system and superb easy to use audio control on steering wheel. Keyless entry is great.
