What does this car say about you?

Stand out from the crowd, love driving without being a boy racer (no way they can afford the group 16 insurance!)Some people say it's a hairdresser's car! Couldn't be more wrong, it's a legend in it's own right! It's great when you pass another MR2 and get a wave!

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

A real head turner, great curves and lovely condition for a 14 year old motor!

Would you buy this car again and why?

Maybe as a weekend car but not likely. I'm really happy I owned one though.

What are you likely to buy next?

I have a little one on the way so we both liked the new shape Astra.

Did you get a good deal and why?

I paid £3200 in 2007, had to sell it for £1200 in January 2009!! Not happy!!!

Is there any special reason why you bought this car?

Wanted something that stands out and is fun to drive.

What's it like to drive?

Good on a warm day in the summer, superb handling and responsive engine. Nice sports car sound! Great as a weekend play thing. Not an everyday car, I drove mine to work everyday, the ultra hard suspension gets tiring and it's a bit unpredictable in the wet! Almost un-drivable in ice or snow!!!

What's it like to park?

Good mirror visibility and the rear window is right behind your head. Feels quite wide when you are parking forwards.

Have you had any problems with the car?

Had a new clutch at 94,000 miles, normal wear, wouldn't say it was a fault. Cost over £600 with a service at the same time! Rear wheel bearing started humming, cost over £300 as it took over 6 hours to remove the old one! Rear shock absorber rubbers fell apart and knocked on bumps.

What's most practical about your car?

There is actually a fair sized boot! Plenty of room for the weekly shop or the removable sun roof.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Leather seats are nice and comfortable even on long journeys, although to be fair mine were re trimmed in creme before I bought the car. Good spec for a car of her age!
