My previous two cars had been a MK1 Fiesta XR2 and then a Ford Puma, both of which I had enjoyed immensely. Due to a change in circumstances I had set myself a budget of £2000. However, being a car enthusiast I still wanted something powerful, reliable and good looking - a MK2 MR2 therefore seemed to make alot of sense...

What's it like to drive?

In a word - awesome. From the moment you turn the key you know you are behind the wheel of something different. The engine bursts into life behind you, the controls feel well made and purposeful, and the whole car seems to transmit a feeling of power and excitement. Once up and running the car continues to please, the well weighted steering, precise gearchage and sporty engine tone all combining to stimulate the senses.

What's it like to park?

Good considering it's size. No power steering but surprisingly light.

Have you had any problems with the car?

The car needed new driveshaft oil seals on purchase.

What's most practical about your car?

A decent sized boot, considering the mid engined/ rear wheel drive layout.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The mid engined balance and poise combined with a power output of 158BHP. Also the pop up headlights and side air intakes add hugely to the presence and character of the car.
